The Boston Comedy Festival Comedy Competition brings 96 comedians from across the country (sometimes Canada) to Boston forone of New England's biggest stand-up competitions. Over eight preliminary rounds, 12 comedians take the stage at each show, all hoping to impress the judges and earn one of just 32 spots in the semifinals. Hosted by Kindra Lansburg, With Maurice Smith closing out the night.: A rising star in the Boston comedy scene, Maurice Smith has a knack for connecting with just about any audience, regardless of age. He has opened for Jay Pharoah, Eugene Mirman, and Vinnie Favorito, and has appeared in DraftKings commercials as well as on HBO and AMC. Whether he's talking about marriage, everyday life, or his #fatlivesmatter movement, Moe brings a distinctive point of view and plenty of personality to the stage. The Bar Our Bar opens 1 hour before early shows and 20 minutes before late shows. So come early and grab a drink with us! The Bar also stays open until 1 AM, so stop by after our last show of the evening! **No outside food or beverages allowed**
